My name is Jenny Davis. I am a professional Artist working from my studio nestled in the beautiful mountains of the Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia.I work in many different disciplines including: oil painting, collage, sculpture, assemblage photography textile and recently exploring the areas of installation video and sound.My works are in private and public collections in Australia UK Europe Canada and the USA.

“I create with the debris left behind in the streets.

Developing imagery from surfaces and spaces found in city and urban environments’ worldwide I discovered the physical “act” of gleaning (collecting) a creative process in itself therefore, just as, important as the resulting idea or piece .

I explore the underground spaces, surfaces, corners, crevices, signage, and graffiti and even discarded packaging of Melbourne, Paris, Spain and other European cities finding as much interest there as a tourist sees in the classic art and architecture.

It’s all street art the graffiti, the graphics, consumer packaging. – Digital images, street litter and found objects for sculpture collage paintings – that I impulsively, obsessively collected from the Cities under my feet. The other beauty of the journey, the ignored and neglected surprises and symbols

I like the idea of conceiving art as the “Whole Experience” not just viewed, stopped at and moved on.”
